A standalone, neutral review sheet for vacation rental teams

Use one copy per image or per small batch. Platform requirements change; check the destination platform’s current help page. This checklist is an editorial aid, not a platform approval guarantee.

1. Accuracy and guest expectations

The photo shows the current guest-accessible property and the correct room/area.
Furniture, fixtures, views, amenities, and accessibility features are represented accurately.
The image does not conceal a material limitation or imply access that guests do not have.
The crop preserves enough context to understand the room and feature.
No guest, personal, security, or identifying information is unintentionally visible.

If any item fails: replace/retake or escalate for an accuracy review; do not try to edit the fact into a different one.

2. Gallery role and coverage

The image adds useful coverage rather than duplicating another frame.
Its room/area label and caption (if used) are correct.
It helps explain layout, sleeping arrangements, amenities, access, or another real guest decision.
Its position in the gallery makes sense, including cover/first-image placement where relevant.

3. Source and technical requirements

Original/highest-quality source file is available where possible.

4. Defect diagnosis

Mark all that apply, then choose an action below.

Noise: fine grain or colored speckles, often visible in shadows.
Compression/resolution: blocky edges, smeared texture, or insufficient pixels.
Missed focus: intended room feature is soft while another plane is sharper.
Motion blur: doubled or streaked edges from subject or camera movement.
Mixed light/color cast: different areas show competing warm/cool/green casts.
Highlight loss: window, lamp, or reflective area has little visible detail.
Shadow loss: important area is too dark; lifting it may expose noise.
No material defect: image is clear enough at actual listing display size.

5. Choose the disposition

Keep: accurate and clear enough at normal listing size.
Edit lightly: source detail exists; a modest exposure, white-balance, noise, or sharpening correction improves legibility without changing the scene.
Retake: key detail is missing, motion/focus blur is conspicuous, compression is severe, mixed casts remain distracting, or important highlights are clipped.
Remove/replace: inaccurate, redundant, misleading, or not useful to a guest decision.
Escalate: uncertain about accuracy, accessibility representation, privacy, platform policy, or whether an edit changes the scene.

6. Final comparison and sign-off
