How to Clean and Care for Your Labubu Collectible — PLA Care Guide

A Labubu collectible deserves the same care you give any display piece. PLA is durable under normal conditions, but a few habits protect it long-term.

Dust Removal

Dust weekly with a soft dry microfiber cloth or a soft-bristled brush. Avoid compressed air at close range — pressure can stress paint finishes. Avoid wet cloths on unsealed surfaces.

For tight areas like ears and details, a clean soft toothbrush works well. Gentle, dry pressure only.

What to Avoid

Avoid prolonged direct sunlight — UV fades paint and can warp PLA at high temperatures. A shelf near a south-facing window in summer can be problematic over months.

Avoid alcohol-based cleaners, acetone, and solvents. They strip paint and attack PLA surface. Hot water above 60C can also warp PLA.

Storage When Not Displayed

For storage over a few weeks, wrap in acid-free tissue and keep in a sealed box away from heat and UV. Avoid attics or car trunks in summer.

The original packaging is the best storage option. Keep it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wash my Labubu figure with water?

A damp cloth can wipe surface grime on sealed areas, but avoid soaking. Never submerge in water. Dry immediately with a soft cloth.

Will Labubu PLA warp over time?

Under normal indoor conditions, no. PLA begins to soften around 60C. Indoors away from direct heat, a Labubu figure stays stable for years.
